Beta coming up

It might seem like its been pretty quiet in the last few months on the soocial front. Well on the blog side of things it certainly has, but behind the scenes we’ve been very busy. We’ve been working on Syncing reliability, support for more devices, an API, a Facebook app, a Mac OS X Client and performance of both the webapp and the server. Our team (Simon, Tijn, Dane and Gernot) has been working very hard over the last months to be able to release our public beta in November. In a series of blog posts we’d like to give an update on all the things we’re planning for this release.

We’re very excited about getting our beta—finally a product that is close to our vision of how contacts management should be: hassle-free contacts. We’ll be writing about more features planned for this release in the next few days. These features are an OS X Client, more supported devices, an API, a Facebook Application, numerous webapp improvements, better over-the-air (SMS configuration) support.

Part 1 in this series will be about the main focus of the last months: reliability, performance and overal quality of syncing in other words—testing, testing, testing.
