We got kicked out of our office!
So we need some help, we need a few days a week of office space during the month May, location doesn’t matter.
Recently we’ve had to do some musical chairs with our offices. The plan was that we’d be moving into one office, and that the current company would move into another, their occupants into yet another and so forth. However somebody, somewhere in the domino stones of companies forgot to get the internet arranged in the office they were supposed to move into and couldn’t move out. So, in this sense one “chair” was pulled away, leaving us standing. GRMBL! First we thought we’d work from home for a month, but after asking around we got a much better idea, that we use your offices!
As everything cool needs to have a name we’ve dubbed it Soocial Mobile Edition Spring 2008 (see our Enterprisey logo). What we are looking for are a few tables and chairs we can use for two or three days a week. Also good wifi and strong coffee would be great, other than that we’re not too demanding.
Our friends at Wakoopa and a few others (Nulaz?) have offered us a few days, but we are still looking for a few more places. So if you have (or know somebody that has) a few spare chairs and a good cuppa, please contact us on twitter @spif and give us a yell!
It might be a bit off the wall but what about doing a deal with a local cafe with Internet access to rent you out some tables on a monthly basis. Fix a price for coffee based on daily consumption and set up a separate wifi router on their network (secured). You would have tables, chairs, strong wifi, and good coffee all in one place. Even better if they have a back room you could partition off for some privacy.
Good idea Stefan. As an added bonus of doing it the Mobile Edition 2008 way though, we like getting to know new companies and people, so we thought we'd hit two birds with one stone.
So we'd prefer office space with other startups!
If you want to come to Brantford, Ontario for May, you're welcome to take up residence at Unnormal's Workspace Collective! (We even have a latte machine. Boom.) As long as you don't mind our ghetto-fabulous locale in the ghetto-fabulous downtown.
We might be able to sub lease our ground floor office space. We are based just off Tottenham Court Rd. Could this be of interest?
